Among the states in the United States, Texas has many cities and neighborhoods that have been ranked as the best cities to live in and the safest place to raise children. Statistics are based on factors such as a good economy, good school districts, parks and recreation and low crime rates. In fact, many Dallas neighborhoods are among the lowest crime rates in the nation making them very attractable for families raising children.

Safest Cities and Neighborhoods in Texas

Haslet, Dallas Fort Worth: With nearly half the homes in Haslet having children under the age of 18 living in them and a crime index of 92 (100 being the safest) Haslet is a wonderful community for young families. The median income for a household in Haslet is $77,000. Highlights of the city include parks and recreation, wonderful cuisine, shopping and historical attractions- definitely something for everyone and community involvement that definitely says home. .

Frisco, Texas: With an exceptional ranking of the 4th on the list of lowest city crime rate rankings for cities with a population of 100,000 to 499,000 nationwide and 20th on the safest cities in the United States Frisco, Texas is a wonderful place to live. Frisco houses 105,000 residents with a median household income for a family being over $100,000. Carrollton, Texas: Carrollton, Texas earned the title of Best Places in the United States by Money magazine and enjoys a ranking of being the 95th on the CQ list of safest cities in the United States. Carrollton house roughly 122,000 residents. Highlights of the city include parks and recreation, libraries, restaurants, shopping and city events and attractions. The median priced home in Carrollton, Texas is $143,750.

Lewisville, Texas: Close to Dallas, Lewisville possesses small town charm and the excitement of a metropolis.
